It's the Pie Vacation of Your Dreams in the Heart of Vermont

If you could design the perfect pie getaway, what would you include? A gorgeous kitchen to work in, shoulder-to-shoulder with good pie friends? Winding country roads with panoramas of red-gold fall leaves around every bend? Crisp, juicy apples straight from the orchard, and the King Arthur Baker's Store just a short drive away? Personal pie lessons from one of America's premier pie instructors?

Yep, us too. Which is why we've put all of that together, once again, in our 2020 New England Pie Getaway...and you're invited!

Pie Baking Meets Luxury Country Comfort

Headquarters for our New England Pie Getaway is the luxury estate pictured in the slideshow here. Situated on 60 lovely acres, our amenity rich home base (and second guest house) has a selection of gorgeous rooms to choose from. We'll do our best to accommodate you in a room that suits your needs, with priority given to the earliest enrollees. Our packages include all meals except Saturday dinner. When you're not baking, explore the grounds, swim in the saltwater pool, take a sauna, or lounge on the cobblestone patio.

Whether You're an Old Pie Hand...Can't Wait to Make Your First Pie...or Want to Polish Some Rusty Skills, We've Got You Covered

The beauty of an intimate event like ours is that we can tailor the instruction to your needs. The curriculum and baking schedule is still taking shape, but it's likely to include some of these highlights from past Getaways...not to mention a few surprises from Ken's big new pie book, coming in 2020.

You'll Make Lots of Dough

...by hand, and in the food processor. You'll get it, and go home confident that you'll never meet another pie dough you can't master.

Bake a Fall Favorite

You'll have the pick of the crop from Ken's upcoming book - The Pie Academy. Just step outside to pick apples and pears.

A Savory One, Too!

But why bake just sweet pies when there are so many savory pies to consider? We'll bake up half a dozen of Pie Academy favorites.

Mini Pies, Maxi Delicious

You know the expression good things come in small packages? They were talking about the mini pies we're going to bake.

Expect Some Surprises

We want to leave a little room for a surprise or two, so we'll bake some pies you might not be expecting.

Tips, Tricks and More Tips

Bring your notepad and pull out your camera, because you'll want to document all the neat new techniques you're going to learn.

Side Trips You Won't Want to Miss

We've designed our New England Pie Getaway schedule with both morning and afternoon sessions, so you'll have plenty of time to see the sites while you're in the area. Here are some of the places we love and you should plan to visit, all these - and more - located within a short drive of our venue.

King Arthur Baker's Store

This is THE New England destination for anyone who loves to bake. Thousands of square feet featuring baking tools, fabulous bakery, and café.

Simon Pearce
