Sweet Cherry Pie

Summertime sure is an exciting season for pie bakers, isn't it? At first, the fresh, local fruit begins as a trickle...the trickle turns into a wave...and then every time you blink another fresh specimen is flirting with you from the farm stand displays. It's pure bliss! So now cherries have arrived, sweet cherries, and even if they've traveled a distance to get here they're plump, juicy, and recipe ready - and do we have the recipes: Sweet Cherry Pie with a grated top crust, and Fresh Cherry Crumb Muffins. You're going to love both of them. And yes, because someone is bound to ask, both can be made with frozen cherries when you get a hankering down the road; you will. We'll see you in class.
