Cabbage & Beef Pie...Rolls, Too!

Now that fall has arrived, it's time to get serious about our weekend baking projects, and that means plenty of hearty, savory baked goods. Here's a class that'll get you off to a great start. We'll take a classic savory filling - cabbage and beef - add grated Cheddar cheese and a handful of seasonings, and press it into service two ways, as a double-crust pie, and stuffing for filled rolls known as bierocks. The latter calls for a basic yeast bread dough, but don't worry - you can use store-bought pizza dough if you like. We'll be covering a lot of ground, so get ready for a busy - and delectable! - session.
